Splash pads for parks and communities

A splash pad gives a city summer water play without lifeguards, a pool deck or a chemical plant room on a pool's scale. ATHCO is the Aquatix by Landscape Structures representative for Kansas and Missouri and has installed pads from Carl Junction to Salina to Derby.

Recirculating or flow-through.

Flow-through pads use potable water once and drain it; they cost less to build and are simple to run, but water bills add up in a dry July. Recirculating pads treat and reuse water, using a mechanical building or a prefabricated enclosure such as MecH2O®. We model both options for your site.

AquaSmart for smaller communities.

Not every town needs a custom pad. Aquatix AquaSmart packages are pre-engineered sets of spray features and mechanicals that arrive with stamped drawings and go in within a season, sized for cities of a few thousand people. ATHCO has supplied them in Higginsville and Sugar Creek, Missouri; both are good places to see one running.

Recirculation without a pump house: MecH2O®.

For cities that want recirculation but not a site-built mechanical building, Aquatix's MecH2O® delivers the entire plant pre-plumbed, pre-wired and dry-tested on one truck, on its own precast tank, with sand or cartridge filtration, UV, automated chemical treatment and remote monitoring. It goes in within days and provides a consistent system for a city with several pads. ATHCO has installed it at Jerry Ivey Park in Salina, High Park in Derby and the Derby Public Library.
