Jerry Ivey Park: a recirculating splash pad without the pump house

The project
Salina wanted a recirculating splash pad at Jerry Ivey Park without the months of site-built mechanical work a pump house usually means. ATHCO's answer was Aquatix's MecH2O®: the whole recirculation plant, filtration, UV, chemical feed, controls and winterization hubs, arrives pre-plumbed, pre-wired and dry-tested on one flatbed, mounted on its own precast tank, and is set with a crane in a day. ATHCO handled the rest as one contract: excavation, supply and return lines, the 60-foot concrete pad and perimeter walk, feature installation, the low-voltage link from the activator to the plant, start-up and training for the city's staff.
The pad itself is a full Aquatix line-up: an AquaGather station, the BloomBurst flower set, two rotating HydroSpheres, a Mini FlashFlood dump bucket, SprayShroud, SprayStacker, the VersoSplash tipping bucket and a WaterWay bar, with arch, bubbler, crown and stream jets in the deck and six benches around it. The recirculation system treats and reuses the water. ATHCO has also supplied MecH2O® systems at High Park in Derby and the Derby Public Library; Jerry Ivey is the newest.
These ATHCO photographs show the dry pad before opening in May 2026.
