The project
Pleasant Ridge Middle School's multipurpose addition was designed by Hollis + Miller to work as one competition court or two practice courts. ATHCO supplied six ceiling-hung Porter backstops on Powr-Touch controls, a motorized roll-up divider curtain across the middle of the hall, a Powr-Rib II competition volleyball system on floor sleeves, and 42 three-inch SuperSafe wall pads in the school's purple.
The scope ran from field measurement and shop drawings through installation ahead of the finished floor, floor protection, scoreboards and owner training. Wall pads carry the PRMS Bulldogs graphics the district specified. It is a close match for Kansas or Missouri middle schools adding a divisible gym.
