The project
MLK Park was one of several Junction City neighborhood parks ATHCO re-equipped for the city's Parks & Recreation department in 2025 (with Bramlage, North, South, Coronado, Alta Vista and Hammond parks following). The brief was a durable, ADA-accessible play structure for ages 5–12 that the city's own crew could maintain.
ATHCO supplied a Landscape Structures play structure with slides and climbers, set in Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF) inside a plastic-timber border with a ramped ADA entry. Installation, surfacing and site restoration were delivered as one package, pre-bid through Greenbush's RFP process. ATHCO returned in 2026 to add components and carry out CPSI playground inspections across the city's parks.
